Terms of Service

Welcome to EcoScore. By downloading, installing, or using the EcoScore application (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account

You may create an account using email/password, Google, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@pathshalainc.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the App or its infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

4. User content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the App (eco logs, profile information, photos). By using the App, you grant Pathshala a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide and improve the service.

5. Eco scores and estimates

EcoScore provides estimated CO₂ values based on published emission factors and user inputs. These are approximations for educational and motivational purposes only and should not be relied upon as certified carbon accounting. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy of these estimates.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, branding, and content (excluding user content) are owned by Pathshala Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services including Amazon Web Services, Google (sign-in and Firebase Cloud Messaging), and Apple (sign-in). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pathshala Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
